It’s not every day that you get to be part of history. Especially with a company whose history is as illustrious as Hewlett-Packard. But we are!
Over the weekend, Hewlett-Packard became two brand new companies – Hewlett Packard Enterprise, and HP Inc. And one of those companies has chosen SUSECon 2015 to announce its new brand and presence – Hewlett Packard Enterprise.
We are deeply honored by this distinction although in some ways it’s not surprising. We have been creating innovative solutions together for over 20 years, leveraging the strengths of both companies. Customers worldwide rely on scalable, tightly integrated joint solutions from HP and SUSE which made HP a worldwide leader in fully-supported industry-standard Linux solutions. I expect that this tradition will continue with Hewlett Packard Enterprise.
I think our HPE colleague, Travis Kuter, Hewlett Packard Enterprise Strategic Alliance Manager, sums up the potential of the new relationship perfectly when he says,
“. . .we believe that SUSE Linux Enterprise on HPE world class platforms provide our joint customers with the industry’s broadest choice of integrated, open source and Linux across the enterprise.”
I’m pretty excited about our future together. Check out the new Hewlett Packard Enterprise at booth #22 at SUSECon 2015 and see the amazing things we have planned for the future. And see what Hewlett Packard has planned for SUSECon 2015.
