Mono for Android
Mono for Android enables developers to use Microsoft Visual Studio to create C# and .NET based applications that run on Android phones and tablets. Developers can use their existing skills and reuse code and libraries that have been built with .NET, while taking advantage of native Android APIs.
Professional Edition
If you plan to develop Android apps for distribution in an Android market, or directly to fewer than 100 devices, and you are the only individual planning to use that license, then Mono for Android Professional Edition is right for you. Your non-transferable license entitles you to one year of Mono for Android updates, and distribution of apps built with Mono for Android on the Android Market, Amazon Appstore, or other competing Android app stores.
Enterprise Edition
If your organization plans to develop apps for direct deployment to more than 100 devices, or for distribution in an Android market, then Mono for Android Enterprise Edition is right for you. This license, owned by a legal entity for use by one developer at any given time, provides one year of Mono for Android updates, and allows enterprise deployments of Mono for Android apps, as well as the distribution of apps built with Mono for Android via the Android Market, Amazon Appstore, or other competing Android app stores.
Enterprise Edition (5 developer)
If you are a larger organization, and you plan to develop apps for direct deployment to more than 100 devices, or for distribution in an Android market, then Mono for Android Enterprise Edition (5 Developer License) may be right for you. This license allows the concurrent use of Mono for Android by up to 5 developers. It entitles the organization to one year of Mono for Android updates, allows enterprise deployments of Mono for Android apps, as well as the distribution of apps built with Mono for Android on the Android Market, Amazon Appstore, or other competing Android app stores.
Student Edition
If you are currently enrolled as a student, or are teaching students Android app development in a formal instructional environment, then Mono for Android Student Edition is right for you. Your non-transferable seat license entitles you to one year of Mono for Android updates, and supports non-commercial deployment of Mono for Android applications to Android-based devices via direct deployment.
